A Typical SotG Audition Process.

1. Signing up or showing up

• You can sign up for auditions through a provided Google spreadsheet, or you can just show up some time during the hours. No matter what, room will be made for you to audition.

2. Sides

• If you signed up beforehand, it’s typically best to show up ten minutes before your slot. Shakespeare on the Green nevers requires auditioners to prepare material beforehand, and instead provides sides at the door that you choose to read in your audition (unmemorized). That said, you’re always welcome to bring in a prepared monologue, etc.

3. Hearing back

• All auditioners are contacted about 24 hours after auditions close, and often are contacted sooner than that.

• Full length productions frequently hold callbacks a day or two following auditions, and callbackees hear back within the same time frame.
